One of the oldest camera clubs in the Northern Illinois, the Des Plaines Camera Club was formed on June 23, 1952 by a group of individuals who shared an interest in photography. The club provides encouragement to members to expand their interests in photography in which they not only learn from one another, but also have an outlet for their creative interest. Meetings include workshops, lectures, and demonstrations in computer programs and traditional film and digital photography. The club is a member of Chicago Area Camera Clubs Association (CACCA) and enters monthly inter-club contest.

The Program Chairman has been traveling in the first couple of months of his retirement and has not been able to schedule any field trips or workshops. When he returns from his current trip, he will have some outings on the club schedule.

Here is the current assignment for the Des Plaines Camera Club.

For the next assignment you don't have to take any pictures.

Send in four (4) pictures that you like that you took during the summer break.

The pictures should have been taken in May, June, July or August of this year.

Please resize your photos to no larger than 1024 by 768 on the largest side.

Rename the files with your name followed by a dash and then the photo title.

Here is an example: Jim Jones - Summer Photo.

MAC users, please put your files in a folder and send me the folder.

 

In order to show these photos at the next club meeting, you will need to email me your files by Friday, September 10th.

Files received after September 10th may not be accepted.
